Guitarist Mikio Fujioka died on January 5, 2017.
His wife has posted to his Twitter account to announce that he had passed away.
He was taken to hospital after falling from a high observation deck while stargazing on December 30, 2017. Over the period, his condition worsened and he passed away on the evening of January 5, 2018, in the company of his two daughters. He was aged 36.
Mikio was known to BABYMETAL fans as Ko-Gami (meaning “little god”).
Mikio Fujioka made his major debut back in 2007 with the album "TRICK DISC".
