Yoshiki to be the First Japanese Male Ever on the Cover of Vogue Japan

YOSHIKI, drummer of Visual Kei band X JAPAN, will be the first Japanese male ever to be on the cover of Vogue Japan.
On August 28th 2017 Vogue Japan will release its "Rock Star" October issue. As member of one of Japan's most influencal Visual Kei and rock bands YOSHIKI was chosen as cover model alongside Argentinian model Mica Argañaraz. This will be a milestone since never before in its 18-year history has a Japanese male been on the cover of the Japanese version of the world's most influential female fashion magazine. 
The photo session was held in early June in New York City and if you've kept up with news about YOSHIKI you might also remember that this was shortly after his emergency surgery on May 16th. After getting the permission of his doctor the drummer took a flight from L.A. to New York for the shooting and had his first appearance there after the surgery.
