ONE OK ROCK's Taka Goes Off Against Japanese Fans In Instagram Rant

ONE OK ROCK's lead vocalist Taka went on an Instagram rant to complain the band's Japanese fans.
Between January 15 - 24, ONE OK ROCK has been touring across North America. After the band's January 24 show in Seattle, Taka posted a blank image on his Instagram. He used this to vent about his frustrations towards Japanese fans.
"I have reached the limits of my patience, so let me write this as it is. Recently, regarding my Japanese fans,, I don't know how to handle it anymore," he wrote.
Taka started his rant by complaining about his Japanese fans not giving him a moment of peace.
"When I get off the bus in the morning tired, there are Japanese people taking photos and videos of me like they found a Pokemon on their phone...I can't eat meals in peace. I can barely breathe in the air outside," he stated.
While performing across North America, Taka said Japanese fans monopolized the front row, furthering their inability to give the band space or allow non-Japanese people to get the full experience.
"I don't understand anymore why I'm doing my best every day abroad. I don't want to make rules, but I want you to think a little more...What does it mean to be doing lives abroad!," he said.
Response to Taka's rant has been negative across social media platforms in Japan. The singer eventually issued an apology, stating that he did not explain himself well enough, and that he did not hate his fans.
Taka has not taken down his Instagram post or removed any of his controversial statements.
